Christian McCaffrey, a running back from Castle Rock, Colorado, was selected eighth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers after his college career at Stanford, where he finished with 6,987 all-purpose yards across 38 games (25 starts) from 2014 to 2016. He was named an All-American and All-Pac-12 selection in 2016. McCaffrey spent five seasons with Carolina before joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2022. In 2025, his ninth season, he carried 337 times for 1,285 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns while catching 113 passes for 1,029 receiving yards and 9 additional touchdowns. Through his career, he holds the NFL record for most receptions by a running back through a player's first seven seasons with 509, and is one of three players ever to record 2,000-or-more yards from scrimmage in a season for two different teams.
