Background & career
Colton McKivitz is a right tackle for the San Francisco 49ers. The 6'6", 301-pound lineman was drafted by San Francisco in the fifth round (153rd overall) in 2020 after playing college football at West Virginia. McKivitz did not begin organized football until his sophomore year of high school at Union Local in Jacobsburg, Ohio, though he was a four-year basketball player there before earning all-state honors as a senior in 2014. Over six seasons, he has appeared in numerous games for the 49ers, starting all 17 games in both 2023 and 2024. In 2024, he started all 17 contests and was part of an offensive line that allowed zero sacks on 28 pass attempts by Brock Purdy against Seattle on October 10, when the team rushed for 228 yards.
