NFL & College Football Depth Charts, Maintained
TWO·DEEP is a depth chart and roster reference covering all 32 NFL teams and all 138 FBS college football programs. Each team page carries a full depth chart, a formation view, the complete roster, and the schedule — updated continuously from the offseason through the season, with the update date printed on every page.
NFL depth charts
Every NFL team’s depth chart lists the starter and backups at each position with jersey numbers, experience, and snap history. The NFL team directorycovers all 32 teams across all eight divisions, and each team adds a salary page breaking down contracts against the player’s position market — pay rank next to role rank, per contract.
College football depth charts
The college directory maintains a projected two-deep for all 138 FBS programs, with class years, recruiting pedigree, and transfer status on every player. Each program adds a transfer portal page: arrivals and departures by window, portal ratings, position-by-position roster change, and which exits have a portal answer.
Formation & matchup views
The formation view puts the depth chart on the field — offense and defense in their personnel packages. Any two teams can be lined up head-to-head in matchup mode, one team’s offense against the other’s defense, for any game on the schedule or any pairing you choose.
Position battles
Position Battles tracks starting jobs that are genuinely open — NFL and college. A job appears only when evidence supports it: split usage between returning players, published charts that disagree, or an open quarterback competition confirmed by camp reporting.
How the numbers work
Every figure on the site is counted, not modelled: snap shares, contract values, transfer counts, depth positions, jersey numbers. Where a stat isn’t published — offensive line efficiency, coverage rates — the page says so instead of inventing one. Depth orders are read from published charts and official team publications, cross-checked against multiple independent sources, and marked with the date they changed.
Frequently asked questions
How often are the depth charts updated?
Continuously. Rosters and depth charts refresh on a daily cycle through the offseason, with more frequent updates during training camp, roster cutdowns, and the season. Every team page shows its own last-updated date.
What is a two-deep depth chart?
A two-deep lists the starter and the primary backup at every position — the first two names at each job. TWO·DEEP charts the full depth order at every position and marks starters, backups, and reserves for all 170 teams.
Which teams are covered?
All 32 NFL teams and all 138 FBS college football programs — every Power 4 and Group of 5 conference, plus independents.
Does TWO·DEEP publish player grades or predictions?
No. Every number on the site is counted from the roster record — snap shares, contract values, transfer counts, depth positions. Nothing is graded, projected from a model, or turned into fantasy advice.
Does TWO·DEEP track the transfer portal?
Yes. Every FBS program has a transfer portal page covering arrivals, departures, portal ratings, position-by-position roster change, and which departures have a portal answer.
