Gabriel Motschenbacher is a sophomore quarterback for the New Mexico Lobos from Lake Oswego, Oregon. He lettered in football at Lakeridge High School, where he completed 60.7% of his passes for 2,134 yards, 19 touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown as a senior. Motschenbacher played in 11 games as a true freshman at L.A. Southwest College in 2024, completing 283 of 392 passes (72.2%) for 2,824 yards and 20 touchdowns. He recorded 433 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 40-32 win over Santa Monica and threw five touchdowns on 20-of-26 passing in a 56-7 victory over Pierce. He is majoring in business administration.
