Toa Fa'avae is a redshirt freshman quarterback for the New Mexico Lobos who stands 6'0" and weighs 188 pounds. The Concord, California native attended De La Salle High School, where he lettered in football under coach Justin Alumbaugh and accumulated over 2,000 career rushing yards. He was named team MVP in 2024 and earned two-time Second Team All-East Bay honors. Fa'avae also competed in track and field, posting the school's second-fastest 100-meter time and earning First Team All-East Bay recognition in the 4×100 relay in 2023 and 2024. During his 2025 freshman season, he appeared in one game with one rushing attempt for two yards and will redshirt.
