Vander Ploog is a 6'6", 230-pound tight end from Fullerton, California who transferred to NC State from Oregon. At Troy High School, he was a four-star prospect and the top tight end recruit out of California according to multiple services. During his senior season, he caught 75 passes for 1,148 yards and 17 touchdowns as Troy went 9-2, including a 12-catch, 194-yard, four-touchdown performance against Segerstrom. Over three years, Ploog totaled over 2,200 yards and 37 touchdowns. He redshirted during the 2025 season at Oregon and now competes for the Wolfpack.
