Gus Ritchey is a tight end for NC State, standing 6'2" and weighing 235 pounds. The Pittsboro native played his high school football at Cary, where he appeared in 28 career games under coach Coleman Tyrance. In prep, Ritchey caught 104 passes for 2,100 yards and 22 touchdowns while also recording 255 tackles, 28 sacks, 75 tackles for loss, and nine forced fumbles on defense. He earned All-American honors from Max Preps and Adidas, competed in the US Army Bowl and Shrine Bowl, and was named a WR Hitlist Top 10 tight end. Ritchey joined the Wolfpack in December and traveled to the bowl game before enrolling in January 2025.
