Hunter Provience is a 6'5", 245-pound tight end from San Diego, California, who attended Christian High School before playing at Montana State. At his prep school, he earned league player of the year honors and was named to the Prep Pigskin Report's 2022 All-51 Team at tight end. As a senior, he caught 44 passes for 664 yards and 10 touchdowns. Provience played five games during his redshirt freshman year in 2023, recording two receptions. In 2024, he appeared in 13 games and totaled eight catches for 118 yards and one touchdown, including a 24-yard score versus UT Martin in the playoffs. Last season as a redshirt sophomore, he hauled in 11 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, with a season-long 43-yard reception against Eastern Washington. He transferred to NC State for the 2026 season.
