Tex Vaughn is a tight end for NC State who hails from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, where he played for Coach Strait Herron. A three-star prospect ranked No. 50 at his position nationally and No. 28 overall in North Carolina, Vaughn recorded 88 receptions for 1,707 yards during his high school career. He earned all-conference honors and served as a team captain, helping lead Kings Mountain to the third round of the playoffs in his senior year.
