Isaac Nelson is a true freshman linebacker at Wake Forest standing 6'2" and weighing 215 pounds. The Indianapolis native attended Carmel High School, where he began playing football in his freshman year. At Carmel, Nelson compiled 103 tackles, eight passes defended, one interception, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble across 18 games. He also played one year of varsity football at Heritage Christian, recording 78 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble before transferring. Nelson was a three-star recruit ranked 736th nationally in the 2026 class and holds the Carmel school record in the 100-meter dash in track and field.
