Wesley Smith is a 5'10", 220-pound weak-side linebacker from Midland, Texas, where he attended Legacy High School. Smith appeared in all 14 games during the 2025 season as a junior, primarily on special teams kickoff coverage while also seeing reserve defensive snaps. He recorded five tackles on the season, with four coming in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and one on kickoff coverage against Kent State. Pro Football Focus credited him with 145 special teams snaps, ranking seventh on the team. Smith enters his 2026 senior season having accumulated over 429 career special teams snaps.
