Stephen Cannon is a true freshman quarterback for Texas Tech, standing 6'2" and weighing 205 pounds. The Savannah, Georgia native from Benedictine Military School was a three-star recruit ranked 921st nationally in the 2026 class. As a senior, Cannon completed 65.0 percent of his passes for 1,908 yards and 22 touchdowns against four interceptions while adding 537 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground. He earned Region 1-4A Offensive Player of the Year honors after guiding the Cadets to the Class 4A state championship game, where he recorded 213 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown in a narrow loss.
