Peyton Morgan is a free safety for Texas Tech who hails from Round Rock, Texas, and attended Pflugerville Weiss High School. A four-star recruit in the 2024 class, Morgan redshirted in 2024, appearing in two games on special teams. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, he saw significant increased action, playing in 12 of 14 games as a reserve safety and special-teams contributor. He recorded 11 tackles (5 solo) with 0.5 tackles for loss and 3 pass breakups. His best performance came against Oklahoma State on October 25, when he tallied 4 tackles and 1 pass breakup in a shutout win. Pro Football Focus credited him with 113 defensive snaps and a 71.5 overall grade.
