After redshirting in 2024 with appearances in five games, Miles transitioned between defensive and offensive roles as a redshirt sophomore in 2025. He appeared in all 14 games, recording four total tackles including three against Kent State on September 6. On offense, he carried 11 times for 60 yards exclusively during Big 12 play.
