Kai Powell is a wide receiver for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Spring, Texas native attended Klein High School, where he recorded 38 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns as a junior, followed by 34 receptions for 690 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year. He earned Academic All-State honors twice and Second-Team All-District recognition. Powell joined Texas Tech as a walk-on prior to the 2025 season and made his collegiate debut in the victory over Oklahoma State on October 25.
