Kaegan Ash is a linebacker for the Texas Tech Red Raiders after committing to the program on June 15, 2025. The 6'0", 205-pound true freshman from Mount Enterprise, Texas, was a two-way standout at Mount Enterprise High School, playing linebacker and running back. As a senior, Ash rushed for 4,562 yards and 67 touchdowns while recording 111 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks on defense. He finished his prep career with 11,382 rushing yards, breaking the Texas state record previously held by Ken Hall. Ash was named Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year by the Texas Sports Writers Association and earned first-team All-State honors three times. He was ranked among the nation's top linebacker prospects and chose Texas Tech over UTEP, Army, Washington State, and Texas State.
