Cord Nolan is a true freshman linebacker for Texas Tech who stands 6'0" and weighs 220 pounds. A native of Bixby, Oklahoma, Nolan played two-way at Bixby High School, lining up at linebacker and outside linebacker on defense while also appearing as a running back and tight end. As a senior, he recorded 87 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks while earning All-State Defensive Player of the Year honors from The Oklahoman. Offensively, he caught eight passes for 165 yards and four touchdowns. In his junior year, Nolan posted 108 total tackles and 17.0 tackles for loss. A consensus three-star recruit, he enrolled at Texas Tech in January 2026 and joined the inside linebacker room.
