Luke Shorter is a 6'7", 250-pound tight end from Elmhurst, Illinois, who attended York High School. At York, he reached the 8A State Semifinals and earned West Suburban All-Academic Team honors. He also competed in volleyball, earning Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association Third Team All-State recognition as his team finished as state runner-up and ranked No. 15 nationally by USA Today/AVCA. Shorter redshirted his freshman season at Purdue in 2025 without appearing in games, while earning Academic All-Big Ten recognition. He returns to the Boilermakers roster for the 2026 season.
