Gunner Thielges is a safety from LaMoure, North Dakota, standing 6'1" and weighing 201 pounds. A three-star recruit in the 2026 class, Thielges was a four-year starter at LaMoure High School under coach Andy DelaBarre. He earned first-team all-state honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and was named the 2025 North Dakota 9-man senior athlete of the year. Thielges also competed in basketball, baseball, and track, where he set multiple school records in sprint and hurdle events. He joins North Dakota State as a true freshman.
