Jaziel Hart is a true freshman defensive back for North Carolina. The 5'11", 180-pound cornerback hails from Rocky Mount, Virginia, where he attended North Cross School. At the prep level, Hart earned first-team All-State honors four times on defense and three times on offense. He recorded 50 tackles and four interceptions during his junior season in 2024, adding 1,100 yards and 19 touchdowns offensively. As a sophomore, he posted 54 tackles and six interceptions while helping North Cross win a VISAA state championship. Hart was a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball and winning a state championship in the 4x100 relay in track.
