Greg Smith is a safety from Riverview, Florida, who transferred to North Carolina from the University of Florida. Standing 6'4" and weighing 215 pounds, Smith appeared in five games during his 2024 freshman season at Florida, recording five tackles and one pass breakup. In his first year at Carolina, he played in all 12 games and earned his first career start against Wake Forest. Smith finished 2025 with 25 tackles, including 16 solo stops, and recorded his first interception at Charlotte, returning it 30 yards. He also logged two quarterback hurries and posted four solo tackles in the Clemson game.
