CJ Mooring is a freshman linebacker for the Nevada Wolf Pack from Houston, Texas. A three-star recruit ranked 2524 overall in the 2026 class, Mooring previously attended Vandegrift High School, where he recorded 181 tackles, four sacks, and 14.0 tackles-for-loss from 2023-24. During the 2024 season, he posted four interceptions and a fumble recovery while helping Vandegrift capture a 6A-DII state title and conference championship.
