Jaxon Cannida is a freshman linebacker for the Nevada Wolf Pack wearing number 14. A McKinney, Texas native, he attended Frisco Emerson High School where he finished his varsity career with 119 tackles including 8.5 sacks. As a senior, he recorded 79 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 11 tackles-for-loss, and an interception. He earned first-team all-district honors in 2024 after posting 77 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Cannida is the son of James Cannida, who played five NFL seasons (1998-2002) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts, and Ieesha Donadelle Cannida, both Nevada Athletics Hall of Famers.
