Jake Silverman is a sophomore linebacker for Nevada who hails from Torrance, California. A three-star recruit in the 2025 class, Silverman appeared in all 12 games during his freshman year in 2025, contributing primarily on special teams while also seeing defensive action in select contests. He recorded two tackles on the season and earned Defense Scout Team Player of the Year honors from the coaching staff. Silverman made his collegiate debut against No. 2/3 Penn State on August 30, recording a special teams tackle, and added another tackle in the Sacramento State game on September 6.
