Ronnie Royal III is a free safety for NC State who joined the Wolfpack in May 2024 as a four-star recruit ranked No. 445 nationally. He redshirted his freshman year after appearing in four games on special teams. In 2025, his first season on the field, Royal recorded 49 total tackles, 28 solo tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one pass deflection, and one interception for 5 yards. Standing 5'9" and weighing 185 pounds, the Gulf Shores, Alabama native is a returning player and redshirt sophomore in 2026.
