Daniel Cruz is a 6'2", 315-pound right guard from N. Richland Hills, Texas who transfers to NC State after two seasons at Texas. At Richland High School, he started four years at the position and earned multiple honors including first-team all-district selections in 2023, 2022, and 2021. He participated in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game and was named the District 5-5A Division 1 Outstanding Lineman of the Year in 2023. Cruz redshirted in 2024 and appeared in two games as a redshirt freshman in 2025, facing Sam Houston and Arkansas.
