Spike Sowells Jr. is a center for the NC State Wolfpack. The 6'2", 312-pound sophomore from Louisville, Kentucky, played prep football at Male High School under head coach Chris Wolfe. As a freshman in 2025, Sowells joined the team in December and traveled to the bowl game before enrolling in January. In six games, he logged 145 defensive snaps with 21.5 tackles, 6.5 sacks, eight quarterback pressures, and a forced fumble. He was named a 2025 Navy All-American and earned two Under Armour MVP awards. Sowells recorded 212 career knockdowns in three high school seasons and was a 2023 first-team all-state selection.
