Sam Peters is a tight end for the Minnesota Golden Gophers standing 6'4" and weighing 250 pounds. The Maple Grove, Minnesota native attended Maple Grove High School, where he caught nine passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns as a junior and helped lead the Crimson to the 2022 6A state championship as a senior. Peters redshirted in 2023 and saw no action in 2024 during his freshman season. In 2025, he appeared in one game, marking his Minnesota and collegiate debut against Northwestern State. A redshirt junior, Peters has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2024 and 2025.
