Maverick Baranowski is a redshirt senior linebacker for Minnesota who wears No. 6. From Ponce Inlet, Florida, he attended Spruce Creek High School as a three-star recruit in the class of 2022. Baranowski has played five seasons with the Golden Gophers. In 2025, he started all 13 games and compiled 103 tackles, with 52 solo tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and one pass breakup. He matched Blake Cashman's 2018 total of 104 tackles in a single season. Baranowski has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors each year from 2023 to 2025 and was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in both 2024 and 2025.
