Mason Carrier is a redshirt sophomore linebacker for the Minnesota Golden Gophers who hails from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Standing 6'3" and weighing 235 pounds, Carrier was a three-star recruit ranked 935th nationally in the 2024 class. He redshirted in 2024 after making his collegiate debut against Virginia Tech. In his 2025 freshman season, Carrier competed in all 13 games and totaled 10 tackles with 2 tackles for loss. He led the team with 8 special teams tackles and forced 1 fumble. Carrier earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025.
