Keyari James is a 6'3", 236-pound linebacker for the Maryland Terrapins. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, James attended Clearwater Academy International and committed to Maryland over Charlotte and Arkansas State as a three-star recruit. He appeared in 10 games during his freshman season in 2024, recording five tackles (three solo) and 0.5 tackles for a loss, including his Maryland debut against UConn on August 31. As a sophomore in 2025, James did not appear in game action while recovering from injury but earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. He is currently a redshirt sophomore returning to the program.
