DD Holmes is a 6'7", 263-pound left defensive end from Washington, DC who attended Gonzaga College before transferring to Maryland from Florida State. A four-star recruit ranked No. 329 overall, Holmes appeared in one game during his true freshman season at Florida State, recording one tackle and two QB hurries. In his first year with the Terrapins in 2025, he played in nine games with one start against Indiana, posting nine total tackles, one quarterback hurry, and one fumble recovery. His first career start came versus Indiana, where he recorded two tackles, and he notched two tackles plus a fumble recovery against UCLA.
