Charlie Johnston is a quarterback for Georgia Southern listed at 6'6" and 215 pounds. A native of Moody, Alabama, Johnston enrolled early in January 2024 and participated in spring practice that year. As a high school senior, he led Moody to the Alabama Class 5A state championship game, throwing for 2,875 yards and 32 touchdowns while earning Alabama High School Offensive Player of the Year honors and first-team all-state selection. He finished his prep career as Moody High's all-time leading passer. During the 2025-26 season, Johnston was redshirted and did not appear in games. He made the President's List with a 4.0 GPA in both the fall and spring semesters.
