Alec Upshaw is a true freshman right defensive end at Georgia Southern standing 6'3" and weighing 235 pounds. The marketing major hails from Calhoun, Georgia, where he played under Coach Clay Stephenson at Calhoun High School. As a senior, Upshaw earned first-team all-state honors to the 3A team and was named Region 7-3A Co-Defensive Player of the Year after recording 53 tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks. He registered 88 tackles, five sacks, and three forced fumbles as a junior en route to first-team all-region selection. Beyond football, Upshaw won the 2025 state championship in discus and placed as state runner-up in shot put.
