Brandon Tyson is a middle linebacker for Georgia Southern who transferred from Elon in January after the 2024-25 season. At Elon, the Whiteville, NC native earned Phil Steele Preseason Third-Team All-CAA honors and appeared in seven games with three starts. In his first season at Georgia Southern, Tyson played all 13 games with 12 starts, recording 87 tackles including 2.5 for loss, six quarterback hurries, one interception, and one fumble recovery. He was second on the team in tackles and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition. Tyson is a returning RS SR for the Eagles.
