Jayvian Tanelus is a true freshman running back at Duke from Naples, Florida. He attended Community School of Naples, where he lettered two seasons under head coach Jonah Dubinski and helped the program capture its first district title in 2025. As a senior, Tanelus rushed for more than 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, including 228 yards and five scores in a Class 1A playoff victory and 243 ground yards in a Region 3-1A semifinal. During his junior year, he accumulated 1,525 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 169 carries while adding seven receptions for 84 yards, earning Second Team All-Naples Daily News honors. Tanelus was rated a three-star prospect and received honorable mention recognition for the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year award in 2025.
