Luke Reed is a running back for the Akron Zips who hails from Garfield Heights, Ohio, and attended Benedictine HS. In high school, he rushed for 1,330 yards and 18 touchdowns while accumulating 1,700 all-purpose yards, earning First-Team All Region and Third-Team All State honors. Reed appeared in three games in 2024 while retaining redshirt status. During the 2025 season, he played in 10 games, recording 1 reception for 7 yards and 1 rushing carry for 4 yards. A Sports Management major, Reed is a returning redshirt sophomore for the Zips.
