Jordan Gant is a running back for the Akron Zips who transferred from Tennessee State. The 5'10", 205-pound native of Lakeland, Florida played all four years at Kathleen High School before joining Tennessee State as a freshman in 2022. In 2025, his first season at Akron, Gant appeared and started in 12 games, recording 213 carries for 1,032 rushing yards and six touchdowns while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. He added nine receptions for 48 yards and one receiving touchdown, totaling 1,080 all-purpose yards. Gant was named 2nd Team All-MAC and earned Doak Walker National FBS Running Back of the Week honors on 10/7/25, becoming Akron's first 1,000-yard rusher since Dennis Kennedy in 2008.
