Ben Nikkel is a free safety with two years of NFL experience currently on the Indianapolis Colts roster. The 6'1", 210-pound defender joined Washington as an undrafted free agent in April 2024 and spent his first season on the Commanders practice squad. He attended McPherson College (2018–2020) and Iowa State (2021–2023), appearing in 52 career games at the college level. During his Iowa State tenure, he compiled 48 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three passes defensed across three seasons, including 40 tackles and two starts in 2023. Nikkel signed with Indianapolis to a Reserve/Future contract in January 2026.
