Background & career
JL Skinner is a safety in his fourth season with the Denver Broncos after being drafted 183rd overall in 2023. The San Diego native appeared in 14 regular-season games in 2025, recording one defensive tackle and eight special-teams tackles, plus one postseason tackle in the AFC Wild Card Playoff. At Boise State from 2019–22, Skinner started 31 of 44 games, accumulating 208 tackles (133 solo), seven interceptions for 50 yards, 20 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2022 with 65 tackles and four interceptions in 12 starts.
