Will McDonald is a 6'4", 273-pound outside linebacker for the Wisconsin Badgers. The redshirt junior from Hudson, Wisconsin was a three-star recruit by recruiting services who recorded 70 tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, and 10.0 sacks as a high school senior in 2022. He earned all-state honors that year along with region and conference defensive player of the year recognition. McDonald also lettered in varsity lacrosse all four years of high school and maintained academic honors throughout. He did not see game action in 2025 but was named Academic All-Big Ten. His brother, Cade, is a sophomore defensive end with the Badgers.
