Carson Van Dinter is a 6'2", 204-pound safety from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, who transferred to Wisconsin after two seasons at Iowa State. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, he appeared in 10 games for the Cyclones, accumulating 180 defensive snaps with one start. Van Dinter recorded 18 total tackles, including 11 solo stops, and broke up a pass. His high school career included 64 tackles, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles in 13 games as a senior, earning 2023 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association First Team All-State honors.
