Jeremiah Johnson is a 6'2", 247-pound linebacker who transferred to West Virginia from Butte Community College as a redshirt junior. At Spanish Springs High School in Nevada, he played running back and linebacker, rushing for 270 yards and two touchdowns on 67 carries during his senior year while adding nine tackles including two sacks. At Butte CC, Johnson recorded 34 tackles with 23 solo stops across 11 games in 2025, collecting 11 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks while earning 2025 NorCal Conference Defensive MVP honors and All-NorCal Conference selection. He added three pass breakups and had five tackles, including three sacks, in a game against Redwoods.
