Charlie Hanafin is a true freshman wide receiver from Burlington, MA who played for Dexter Southfield School under coach Casey Day. A three-star recruit, Hanafin earned first-team 2025 preseason all-ISL honors and served as team captain his senior year. In his final high school season, he recorded 17 receptions for 387 yards with four touchdown catches, averaging 23.0 yards per reception, and added a 22-yard rushing touchdown. As a junior, he had 21 catches for 417 yards and three touchdowns at 20.0 yards per catch. Hanafin, who also competed in lacrosse, comes from a football family: his father started at quarterback for Boston University, his older brother Ronan plays safety for Clemson, and another brother played quarterback at Boston College.
