Joshua Patterson is a safety from Jacksonville, Florida, who prepped at Edward H White High School, where he was rated a top-80 safety nationally by recruiting services. In his senior season, he tallied 53 tackles, 11 pass breakups, four interceptions, forced two fumbles and allowed only one reception. Patterson spent time at Iowa State, where he redshirted and appeared in four games with two starts. He finished his time with the Cyclones with four tackles, an interception and a pass breakup before announcing his intent to transfer. He made his first career interception in a win at TCU. Patterson, listed at 5'11" and 195 pounds, joins Wake Forest as a transfer for 2025.
