Jonathan Allen is a defensive tackle from Birmingham, Alabama who attended Jackson-Olin High School as salutatorian of his senior class. The 6'2", 304-pound transfer joins Virginia as a redshirt junior from UAB. During the 2025 season at UAB, Allen appeared in all 12 games with seven starts, recording 34 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and one quarterback hurry. He posted a career-high 10 tackles on November 8 against Rice. Allen was recognized as part of the 2025 Military Bowl STEM Scholar-Athlete Program. He is majoring in foreign affairs.
