Jason Hammond is a defensive tackle for Virginia who hails from Miami, Florida, where he attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. A redshirt junior standing 6'2" and weighing 284 pounds, Hammond made his collegiate debut in 2023 against Tennessee. During the 2024 season, he started in all four of his appearances before missing the final eight games due to injury, finishing with 11 tackles. In 2025, Hammond recorded 33 total tackles, 12 solo stops, 2.5 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, and 4 quarterback hurries. He earned Phil Steele Fourth Team Preseason All-ACC honors for 2026 and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2023.
