Da'Shawn Martin is a 6'0", 180-pound receiver from Springfield, Ohio who transferred to Virginia from Kent State. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Martin appeared in 10 games as a true freshman in 2024, starting nine, and recorded eight receptions for 108 yards while averaging 22.2 yards per kick return. In 2025 at Kent State, he started the final 10 of 11 games at wideout and posted 33 receptions, 507 receiving yards, and four touchdown catches, averaging 15.4 yards per reception. His receiving yards per game (46.1) ranked eighth in the MAC. Martin caught touchdown passes against Florida State (75 yards), Massachusetts (25 yards), Akron (27 yards), and NIU (17 yards).
