Troy Huhn is a true freshman quarterback at Virginia Tech from Carlsbad, California. At Mission Hills High School, he served as a three-year varsity starter and two-year captain, leading the Grizzlies to consecutive CIF San Diego Section Open Division semifinals appearances in 2024 and 2025. During his senior season, Huhn completed 180 of 240 passes for 2,438 yards and 29 touchdowns while adding 228 rushing yards and eight scores, helping Mission Hills to a 9-2 record and playoff berth. As a junior, he posted an 8-3 record with 165 completions on 234 attempts (70%) for 2,015 passing yards and 19 touchdowns. Huhn was rated a four-star prospect by national outlets and ranked the nation's No. 10 pocket-passing quarterback.
