Kelden Ryan is a redshirt freshman quarterback at Virginia Tech who stands 6'1" and weighs 197 pounds. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan attended DeSoto High School, where he compiled 39 total touchdowns (25 passing, 14 rushing), 2,353 passing yards on 72.6 percent completion, and 924 rushing yards as a senior. He set a season high of 339 passing yards in a 63-24 win at Cedar Hill and recorded multiple six-touchdown performances. Previously, Ryan played at All Saints' Episcopal School and Central High School, accumulating 31 total touchdowns and 2,110 passing yards in his junior year.
